PILLAR

Monetization

PROJECT 1

Redesigning settings across

access, transactions, billing and

permissions

for Business and Ad accounts across various roles

Reworked the information architecture to make relationships between accounts, roles, and permissions easier to understand, across Business account and Ad account which is a parent child relation, across different roles like, Admin, Manager, Analyst, Custom and View only access.

Settings After.jpg

Project Highlight

Designed and coded a simpler account system within 4 weeks

Built the front-end code for the experience using Coder.com rather than stopping at design handoff. Initial usability testing showed reduced confusion and smoother completion of key workflows.

PROJECT 2

SMBs need a simpler way to

generate leads

without relying on third

party workflow automation tools

Designed a lead-generation ad format that connects high-intent users directly with SMBs through Nextdoor DMs, reducing friction between seeing an ad and contacting the business.

Consumer facing

Advertiser facing

Project Highlight

Shipped in 3 weeks, projected to bring in $934k/yr revenue

Owned the experience across mobile and web, multiple ad formats, consumer-facing surfaces, and the advertiser platform. Took the workflow from concept through detailed designs and prototypes to a shipped experience within three weeks.

PROJECT 3

Increasing trust in SMB advertisements through

social validation

using platform recommendations

Conceptualized a new ad format that uses social validation and community signals to make SMB advertising feel more trustworthy, relevant, and native to the Nextdoor experience.

Variations of Ads with recommendations and fallback options in case of no recommendations- being engagement metrics in a month or lifetime

Project Highlight

Pitched a idea, put it on the roadmap projected to bring in $500K+/yr

Independently pitched the concept despite it not being on the roadmap, earning immediate support from product and design leadership. The format is being monetized as an additional charge on campaigns that use it, with at least $500K in projected annual ad revenue.

PROJECT 4

Navigating international lead generation expansion

across

compliance regulations

in Canada and United Kingdom

Designed lead-generation ads and advertiser workflows that could scale across multiple countries while accounting for different consent, compliance, and regulatory requirements.

Project Highlight

Built an ad and the B2B workflows that could scale across markets

Created a flexible workflow that adapts fields, disclosures, and requirements depending on the user's region rather than creating separate experiences for every country. This established a reusable foundation for expanding lead generation into additional markets.

what changed

I got to design for

B2B2C

ecosystem

Mission matters to me
Nextdoor reinforced how important it is for me to believe in the mission behind the product. I genuinely connected with its focus on strengthening local communities, which made the work feel more meaningful.

Speak up, even as an intern
I learned the value of questioning assumptions and sharing ideas early. That confidence helped me pitch a new ad concept that wasn’t on the roadmap and get it prioritized for launch.

Designing with a B2B2C lens
I worked across both advertiser and consumer experiences, which taught me to balance the needs of businesses, users, and the platform rather than optimizing for just one side.
